Policy
Since 1998, bearing in mind that our school is located in Valencia, one of the 5 most popular destinations in Spain among European students, it can be said that little by little, the Erasmus spirit was penetrating in the student community and social life of the city. This resulted in a fast increase in the demand of mobility by Spanish students and also in a demand coming from all Europe, mainly Germany, Italy, Portugal and France.
The geographical area to develop the mobility activities has become in itself an aim along these 25 years of activity.
On the other hand, Eastern Europe has turned into one of the most demanded destinations by our students in the last decade, and new agreements have been opened with Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, geographically further countries but which quality of life is more affordable due to the current funding. Besides, the methodology they offer is quite different from ours due to its location and respective socio-political aspects.
The opening of agreements with Scandinavia was stopped due to economic aspects.
It’s worth mentioning that although existing a continuous interest of beginning new agreements in the U.K., this is specially difficult having into account the fact that our school doesn’t have an educative offer in English at the moment.
Some concrete guidelines on selection were established:
The HEI offer should be one having specializations difficult to be found.
Its study programme should complement ours.
The possibility to have English as language of instruction or communication (an aspect of growing interest among students).
